Ciara O'Callaghan

 

Ciara has a BA hons in Drama & Theatre Studies from the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin.

 

She has worked extensively in film, TV & theatre at home and abroad. Ciara is also a highly accomplished voiceover artist.

 

Film work includes MRS. BROWN'S BOYS D'MOVIE (Universal Films), SPACEJACKER (Roger Corman productions US), LIMBO (Zanzibar Films), and INSATIABLE (Kirby Films).

 

In television her credits include THE CLINIC (Parallel Films) and SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE BAKER STREET IRREGULARS (BBC). She was nominated for best actress (IFTA and TV Now awards) for her role as Yvonne in RTÉ's long running soap FAIR CITY. 

 

Some of her theatre work includes - for The Abbey and Peacock Theatre - BIG LOVE, directed by Selina Cartmell, THE PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD, directed by Ben Barnes, and THE SECRET FALL OF CONSTANCE WILDE, directed by Patrick Mason, DANCING AT LUGHNASA (Library Theatre Manchester), and ORPHEUS directed by Nick Philippou (ATC London). 

 

Currently she is working with Theatre Upstairs, playing The Lover in the rehearsed reading of the world premiere of Marina Carr's QUARTET alongside John Kavanagh, directed by Karl Shiels.
