Ciara is one of Ireland’s best-known television actors, having worked in the industry for 20 years. She has a BA in Drama & Theatre studies from the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin, and also a degree in Dance & Film Acting from Université Nanterre, Paris.
Her film credits include: Dracula for TG4, directed by Julian Charlton; Trick or Treat, directed by Mark Ivan O’Gorman; Penny, directed by Patrick O’Shea; Insect Man in which she played the leading role, and which was directed by Sally Anderson; Spacejacked, directed by Jerimiah Culinane; and Insatiable, directed by Jessie Kirby.
Her television credits include; The Clinic (TG4) directed by Ian Fitzgibbon; Flight of the Earls (Midas Films), directed by Paul Larkin; Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Irregulars (BBC).
Many of her theatre credits include; Big Love directed by Selina Catmell; The Playboy of the Western World directed by Ben Barnes; The Secret Fall of Constance Wilde directed by Patrick Mason, all at The Abbey Theatre/Peacock; The Cat and the Moon/On Bailes Strand directed by Niall Henry; Once Time, directed by Corrine Soum, both with Blue Raincoat Company; and Richard III, with Tyst Theatre Company (Sweden), directed by Tom Fjordfalk.
Ciara is perhaps best-known for her role as Yvonne Doyle in RTÉ’s long-running soap, Fair City.
2013 has seen Ciara cast in Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie to be directed by Ben Kellet.
Ciara is based in Dublin.
