Ciara is currently working on the forthcoming RTE series STRIKING OUT, in which she plays the role of Julie O'Brien.
Recent credits include - all for the BBC - the role of Brida in a rehearsed reading of TOMMY CARR'S LOUNGE BAR, the role of Lucretia Moon in DOCTORS and MRS. BROWN'S BOYS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL. In 2015 Ciara toured the UK with HOW NOW MRS. BROWN COW! created by Brendan O'Carroll, in which she plays the role of of Betty Brown.
Since graduating with a BA in Drama & Theatre Studies from the Samuel Beckett Centre, Trinity College Dublin, Ciara has worked extensively in film, TV & theatre at home and abroad.
Film work includes MRS. BROWN'S BOYS D'MOVIE (BBC Films / Universal Films), INSATIABLE (Kirby Films), SPACEJACKER (Roger Corman Productions US) and LIMBO (Zanzibar Films).
Television credits include THE CLINIC (RTÉ / Parallel Films) and SHERLOCK HOLMES AND AND THE BAKER STREET IRREGULARS (BBC). Ciara was nominated for Best Actress (IFTA and TV Now awards) for her role as Yvonne in RTÉ's long running soap FAIR CITY.
Some of her theatre work includes - for The Abbey and Peacock Theatre - BIG LOVE directed by Selina Cartmell, which went on to tour the US, THE PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD directed by Ben Barnes, and THE SECRET FALL OF CONSTANCE WILDE directed by Patrick Mason. Further stage credits include DANCING AT LUGHNASA (Library Theatre, Manchester), ORPHEUS directed by Nick Philippou (ATC, London) and a rehearsed reading of Marina Carr's QUARTET alongside John Kavanagh, directed by Karl Shiels with Theatre Upstairs, Dublin.
An accomplished voice over artist, Ciara has worked on numerous radio and TV campaigns as well as in radio drama and animation, her favourite to date voicing the character Norma Jean for HAPPY FEET with Warner Brothers and TG4.
Ciara has bases in Dublin and London.
