Erin Gilgen

Erin holds a Bachelor in Acting degree from The Lir Academy at Trinity College Dublin (in partnership with RADA).

Her work with the Lír includes NORTHERN STAR directed by Lynne Parker, TROILUS AND CRESSIDA directed by Nona Shepphard, COOP which she also devised with director Louise Lowe, TARRY FLYNN and OEDIPUS both directed by Wayne Jordan, THE PLOUGH AND THE STARS directed by Annabelle Comyn and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM  directed by Hilary Wood. Erin has also appeared in two short films for the Lír, TINDERFACE directed by Paul Duane and TERRARIUM directed by Conor McMahon.


More recently Erin played the role of Clara in OLYMPIA directed by Nora Kelly-Lester for Pygmankenstein, the role of Debbie opposite Iain Glenn in the Irish crime drama series JACK TAYLOR directed by Charlie McCarthy and the lead role of Gesche Gottfried in BREAKS, which she developed with Bez Kinte Theatre Company as part of the Barbican Theatre Open Labs development scheme in London. BREAKS, directed by Louisa Sanfey, premiered at Smock Alley Boy's School as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival 2016.
