Lloyd Cooney

 

Lloyd was recently seen on stage playing the role of Al in THE ROSE TATTOO directed by Vanessa Fielding at The Complex, Dublin.

Screen credits include the role of Caolan Moore in critically acclaimed RTE/AMC series KIN directed by Diarmuid Goggins, Bingo in feature film DEADLY CUTS directed by Rachel Carey, Oscar in short film WASTEWATER directed by Dave Tynan, Devo in RTE series CHARLIE directed by Kenneth Glenaan, Elis in short film THE EXECUTION directed by Colm Querney and Mark in short film THE SHADOWBOXER directed by David O'Neill.

Recent stage credits include the role of Keno in Emmet Kirwan's STRAIGHT TO VIDEO directed by Phillip McMahon for Landmark Productions, Roderick Ford's THE SPIDER'S HOUSE directed by Maisie Lee, IT WAS EASY (IN THE END) and HEROIN for THEATREclub, the role of Cliff Lewis in John Osborne's LOOK BACK IN ANGER directed by Annabell Comyn at The Gate Theatre,  and Jacob in THE SEAGULL directed by Sean Holmes at the Lyric Hammersmith.

At the Abbey Theatre he played the role  Lieutenant Langon in THE PLOUGH & THE STARS directed by Sean Holmes which included a US Tour, Tommy Owens in THE SHADOW OF A GUNMAN directed by Wayne Jordan, Martin in Shaun Dunne's THE WASTE GROUND PARTY directed by Gerry Stembridge, Fabian in TWELFTH NIGHT directed by Wayne Jordan, and Joe in James Plunkett's THE RISEN PEOPLE directed by Jimmy Fay.

He has worked extensively with ANU Productions, appearing in THE PARTY TO END ALL PARTIES, ANGEL MEADOW at HOME Manchester, THIRTEEN, LIVING THE LOCKOUT and THE BOYS OF FOLEY STREET

He is based in Dublin.
