Barry McKiernan

Barry recently filmed the role of Risteard in the feature film KING FRANKIE directed by Dermot Malone.

​Recent screen credits include the role of Brian Scott in TV series AN IRISH CRIME STORY; Netflix series VIKINGS: VALHALLA; the feature film THE BRIGHT SIDE directed by Ruth Meehan; the role of Dr. Edward in A+E series MISS SCARLET & THE DUKE directed by Declan O'Dwyer, and THE WOMAN IN WHITE, directed by Carl Tibbetts for the BBC.

Theatre credits include the Irish Times Theatre Award-Winning Dead Centre show GOOD SEX; the role of Rosenstern in HAMLET directed by Yaël Farber at the Gate Theatre Dublin and St Ann's Warehouse, New York; Bren in Una McKevitt’s ALIEN DOCUMENTARY at Project Arts Centre and the Harmonie Theatre, Leeuwarden in The Netherlands; the role of Gerry in DANCING AT LUGHNASA directed by Julie Kelleher for the Everyman Palace Theatre, as part of the Cork Midsummer Festival; the role of Hades in THE EURYDICE PROJECT, directed by Lee Wilson for Project Arts Centre Space Upstairs, and ANNA KARENINA directed by Wayne Jordan for the Abbey Theatre.

Barry holds a Bachelor in Acting degree from The Lír Academy at Trinity College Dublin (in partnership with RADA).
