
Carmel Stephens
Carmel is currently playing the role of ‘Cora’ on Ros na Rún for TG4. Other recent TV credits include Valerie in Season 3 of The Dry (soon to be seen on RTE/ Netflix) and the role of Flavia in OBITUARY S2 for RTÉ/Hulu.
Recent film work includes lead roles in 'The Life and Crimes of Finn McClean' and 'Cabbage', currently playing festivals.
She played the part of ‘Mother' in Glass Mask's production of 'Mother and Child' by Jon Fosse and other recent theatre credits include 'Laced' at Scene and Heard Festival of New Work, Home, Part 1 at Abbey Theatre, The Snapper at the Gate Theatre, Dublin and The Devil Himself with AboutFace Theatre.
Other TV work that can currently be seen on streamers/ players includes the part of Stephanie in Harry Wild,S1 (Acorn/RTE) and Anita in Madame Blanc, S1 (Channel 5).
Currently appearing in festivals is the short, Homofónia, in which she plays a lead role and was nominated as Best Supporting Actor at the Louth Film Festival.
Carmel was also part of the core cast of RTE’s flagship soap, Fair City for many years.
She was a founding member of Inis Theatre Company and co-wrote and appeared in most of their shows, sharing the Best Actress award in the Dublin Fringe Festival.
She has twenty years of experience as a dubbing artist working on shows and films such as Spongebob Squarepants, Power Rangers and Horseland.
